Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies and what data we keep in your browser when you use the cata.cataro.ro platform.

1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Local storage (localStorage) is a similar browser mechanism in which the application keeps information on your device. This platform mainly uses local storage rather than cookies. Analytics and marketing cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel) are set only if you accept them.

3. Consent for analytics and marketing

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel load only after you click “Accept all” in the cookie banner. If you choose “Necessary only”, these services are not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the page footer; when you withdraw consent, their cookies are deleted from your browser.

When you click “Accept all”, we also tell Google that you consent to Google Ads campaign measurement (the ad_user_data signal), but not to personalised advertising: the ad_personalization signal stays denied.

4. External services loaded in the page

Google Fonts — page fonts are loaded from Google; your browser's IP address reaches that service.
OpenStreetMap — member map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap servers; your browser's IP address reaches that service.
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) — only with your consent: aggregate statistics on platform use (pages visited, visit source, country, device type).
Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) — only with your consent: conversions measured by Google Analytics (for example a new member joining the community) are used to measure CATA campaigns in Google Ads, without personalised advertising.
Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) — only with your consent: measuring CATA promotional campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. If you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram in your browser, Meta may link the visit to your account.

Google Fonts and OpenStreetMap do not set advertising cookies through our platform.

5. How to control this data

You can change your choice about Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the page footer. You can delete cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings (privacy / site data section). Deleting the strictly necessary entries signs you out and may prevent you from using the platform.
